Swim Spa Covers 2021

Years ago, SpaCap.com did offer swim spa covers in vinyl like other manufacturers. Because of this they still get the latest news from the vinyl suppliers.

Here is one of the most recent…

Dear Valued Customer:
We are writing to update you about the challenges we are facing in the coated fabrics & petrochemical industry.

In the last 6-12 months there have been unprecedented events that are impacting the supply chain and raw materials. These events are effecting our costs and lead times like no other time before.

Covid 19 hit the US in March of 2020 and demand surged catching suppliers off guard and unprepared. This, combined with the worst hurricane season in years, a shortage of containers, and gridlock at major US ports overwhelmed the logistics industry.

To further compound the problem, the winter freeze in TX and LA damaged vital manufacturing operations for petrochemical feedstock, impacting global demand for most petrochemicals and which is not expected to recover in the near future.
The net result of these events has greatly impacted our costs and lead times. The main components of our products are PVC, plasticizer and synthetic textile. All of these are in short supply and have all increased in cost by over 50% since October 2020, and will likely continue to increase through Q3. This will result in further pricing action in the coming months. As a result of increased demand and delays at ports, our lead times have been extended an additional 6 to 8 weeks…

If you were wondering why the foam swim spa covers were taking so long to get and costing so much more than they used to, here’s the reason. Materials from China.

Meanwhile, at SpaCap.com they are plugging away, lining up to be the “last man standing” in swim spa cover manufacturing. Yes, their lead time has been extended by a couple weeks since Amazon has taken over shipping priority across the country but since all their materials are Made In the USA they are still going strong.

If you would like to get a new swim spa cover for your spa before the next decade, and your ready for a lightweight, easy to use swim spa cover, in Sunbrella that lasts for YEARS instead of vinyl that is rated by HOURS, visit SpaCap.com.
